What is Garbhadhan sanskar?
It is regarded as the first of Hinduism's sixteen sacraments. In the universe, life begins through this method. Progeny is seen as the primary goal and first duty of domestic life in terms of religion. Another principle of creation is that all living things, including humans, bear children through the union of men and females. The Hindu texts also reflect the norms and laws that our ancestors set for the generation of the best children based on their own experiences.

Following these guidelines entails performing the tasks required by law in order to give birth to a child, which is referred to as Garbhdhan Sanskar. It is thought that the moment a man and a woman get married, the soul is said to be born and move into the woman's womb. By eradicating the illnesses from their previous birth, Garbhadhan Sanskar helps the creature develop positive traits and instills them in the unborn by performing various spiritual activities. Ultimately, the purpose of Garbhadhan Sanskar is to purify the womb and enhance the unborn child with all spiritual attributes.

Method for Garbhadhan or conception
In Hindus, it is considered essential to perform Garbhdhan Sanskar to get the best child. For this, first of all, the parents who wish to have a child should be clean in their body and mind before conception. Cleanliness of the body and mind depends on their diet, conduct, behavior, etc. For this, parents should have intercourse at the right time. Both should be mentally prepared for this action. If one of the two is not ready for this, then in such a situation one should not try for conception.

That is, the food and behavior of a man and a woman, the way they have sexual intercourse with the desire, those qualities are also included in the nature of the child.

When to conceive?
There should be sexual activity throughout the women's season itself in order to conceive. Women should be avoided by men. Normally, 16 days are said to be the average length of a woman's menstrual cycle. Men and women should not have any sexual contact in these for the first four to five days. Serious infections can be brought on by engaging in sexual activity when sick. Even on the eleventh and thirteenth day, conception should not be done according to religious law.

You can perform Garbhadhan sanskara on other days. On the festival nights of Ashtami, Chaturdashi, Poorvmasi, Amavasya, etc., it is encouraged to refrain from ladies having sexual relations. On the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, twelfth, fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth nights of Rajo-Darshan, Garbhadhan Sanskar can be performed.

It is said that a woman should visualize herself in her ideal shape following Ritusnanan; in other words, she should think about and see the image of the great man she desires to have a kid with. The third hour of the night is thought to be the most fertile.

When not to Conceive?
In a dirty state, at the time of menstruation, in the morning, in the evening, if there is anxiety, fear, anger, etc., in the mind, then conception should not be performed in that state. Conception during the daytime is considered prohibited, it is believed that it gives birth to a promiscuous child. In the days of Shraddha, in religious festivals, and also during the Pradosh period, conception is not considered to be in accordance with the scriptures.
