Significance of Jyestha Amavasya
According to the Hindu calendar 2023 or Panchang, there are a total of thirty Tithis (Chandras) and Amavasya usually falls in the middle of the month. Jyestha Amavasya, as the name suggests, is the New Moon that is observed in the Hindu month of Jyestha. This is the time of the month when negative energies and spirits are very strong.
